When addiction to technology destroys your life, what does it take to start over in a digitally connected world?
This short documentary follows four men at reSTART life, a technology addiction rehab center. In their own words, they open up about their personal struggles: Theo prepares to enroll, Rory is just starting out, Matt nears the end of treatment, and Charlie reflects a decade after recovery.
The film explores how their journeys are both strikingly similar and uniquely their own, offering an intimate look at their shared struggles, distinct challenges, and what it takes to start over in a hyper-connected world.

A message from the filmmaker.
From traveling to Washington State to share the stories of Theo, Rory, Matt, and Charlie to the long, grueling days in the edit room, this project has truly been a journey.
I’ve learned firsthand how the same technology that shapes our daily lives can be used like any other addicting and destructive vice. And in the road to recovery, the narrative we tell ourselves about who we are is so powerful. By sharing their struggles openly, these four men have reclaimed control over their own stories and found strength in their vulnerability.
I hope you will connect and empathize with their stories and reflect on the role of distraction and amusement in our culture.
